MultiCare Good Samaritan Hospital Hepatitis C Exposure in Puyallup, WA
What Happened At MultiCare Good Samaritan Hospital?
Leahy Law has joined the fight to figure out why a nurse at MultiCare Good Samaritan Hospital in Puyallup, WA, is facing allegations of infecting over 2,600 emergency room patients with Hepatitis C. It's alleged that the emergency room nurse infected with Hepatitis C was injecting herself with a partial does of narcotics intended for her patients and using the same needle to then inject the remaining narcotics dose into the unaware patient. MultiCare Good Samaritan Hospital patients who received injections of narcotics, antihistamines, or sedatives between August 4, 2017 and March 23, 2018 may be at risk for contracting Hepatitis C. MultiCare has sent out notifications to patients that may have been exposed while the emergency room nurse was on duty. Hepatitis C is known to potentially cause grave conditions, such as: liver damage, cancer, or death. In fact, more Americans die from Hepatitis C than from any other infectious disease.

Experience
Leahy Law attorney Pat Leahy's own Mother worked at a medical hospital in Auburn, WA, and was punctured by a needle left in a garbage in the operating room. She had to undergo screening for the Hepatitis C virus and Pat had first-hand experience to the emotional distress and worry that affected her, as well as her five children. No one should be put through this emotional and physical trauma. A good friend of Pat Leahy was a District Court Judge in Pierce County and contracted the Hepatitis C virus from getting a tattoo. Unfortunately, Pat's friend passed-away leaving his wife and three young sons. The virus does not discriminate and anyone with doubts should get screened and tested, immediately! If you have any questions do not hesitate to contact Leahy Law.
